Not tax advice — for estimation only.
Every number PaycheckHub shows is an estimate for planning and education. It is not tax, legal, or financial advice and should not be relied on as a substitute for professional guidance.
1. Estimates Based on Public Rules
Our engines apply the 2025 IRS federal income-tax brackets (single filer), FICA rates (Social Security 6.2% up to the $168,600 wage base and Medicare 1.45%), and modeled state effective rates. These inputs are simplified representations of a complex tax code. Real withholding also depends on your Form W-4 elections, pre-tax benefit deductions (401(k), HSA, FSA), employer payroll settings, local/city taxes, and mid-year law changes that may not yet be reflected here.
2. No IRS or Government Affiliation
PaycheckHub is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, or any state or local government agency. For authoritative figures, always consult the IRS (irs.gov) and your state Department of Revenue.
3. No Warranty
While we test our engines against known reference cases (for example, a $60,000 Texas paycheck should show roughly $6,100 federal and $4,590 FICA with $0 state tax), we make no guarantee that results are error-free or complete. Tax law changes frequently; we update tables on a best-effort basis and may lag behind official publications.
4. Use at Your Own Risk
Decisions you make based on PaycheckHub output — including budgeting, withholding adjustments, estimated payments, or filing — are at your own risk. We are not liable for any loss, penalty, or missed refund arising from reliance on our estimates. When the stakes are material, speak with a licensed CPA, enrolled agent, or tax attorney.
5. Third-Party Content & Ads
Articles on /news summarize public IRS and tax news for convenience and may contain inadvertent errors or outdated information. Advertisements displayed via Google AdSense are not endorsements; we do not control their content.
6. Forward-Looking Statements
Any projections or comparisons shown (e.g., annualized totals, take-home comparisons) assume current rates remain unchanged and do not predict future legislation.
If you spot an error in our calculation logic, please let us know — we review every report. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
